Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Podium shows an intense
straw yellow color and nuances of straw yellow, very transparent. The nose
reveals intense, clean, pleasing, refined and elegant aromas that start
with hints of apple, plum and peach followed by aromas of hawthorn,
jasmine, citrus fruits, anise, pineapple, almond, broom, pear and mineral.
The mouth has excellent correspondence to the nose, a crisp attack and
however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing
roundness. The finish is very persistent with long flavors of plum, apple
and almond. Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Podium ages
for 15 months in steel tanks followed by 4 months of aging in bottle. |

I vini di Garofoli portano sempre nel calice profonde emozioni, eccellenza nell'esecuzione, vini mai scontati, sempre di grande personalità e, soprattutto, qualità a un prezzo davvero onesto.
Come questo bellissimo verdicchio Podium, praticamente un'icona dell'enologia marchigiana e italiana, sempre affidabile anche nelle annate meno favorevoli.
Ci senti la susina e la mandorla, nette e pulitissime, con un contorno di anice e fiori di campo, di rara freschezza nonostante i 3 anni di questo bel verdicchio di Jesi.
E poi, passando all'assaggio, regala una bocca opulenta e ricca, struttura notevole per un bianco, con una rotondità che affascina nel suo rincorrere la fresca acidità tipica del vitigno. L'alcol è giusto e sufficiente all'equilibrio complessivo del vino, con un finale pressoché infinito, lungo, lunghissimo. E per poco più di 11 euro è davvero notevole. Consigliatissimo!
