The wine shows an intense straw yellow color and nuances of straw yellow,
very transparent, fine and persistent perlage. The nose reveals intense,
clean, pleasing and refined aromas that start with hints of baked cake,
banana and yeast followed by aromas of pineapple, hawthorn, bread crust,
quince, grapefruit, plum and vanilla. In the mouth has good correspondence
to the nose, a crisp and effervescent attack, however balanced by alcohol,
good body, intense flavors. The finish is persistent with flavors of
grapefruit, pineapple and plum. The base wine for this Franciacorta ages
in barrique and then ages on its lees for 26 months. |
