Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
The wine shows a brilliant ruby red color and nuances of garnet red, little
transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing, refined and
elegant aromas that start with hints of black cherry, plum and blackberry
followed by aromas of violet, licorice, tobacco, cocoa, cinnamon, menthol
and vanilla. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a slightly
tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, full body, intense flavors,
good tannins. The finish is persistent with flavors of black cherry,
blackberry and plum. Azobè is produced with grapes dried for one month and
ages in cask for 24 months followed by 6 months of aging in bottle.
