Marsala (Sicily) This Marsala shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of garnet red, little transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas of black cherry and blackberry followed by aromas blueberry, plum, violet, vanilla, cocoa, licorice and cinnamon. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a sweet, hot and slightly tannic attack, pleasing roundness, however balanced, good body, intense flavors, good tannins. The finish is persistent with flavors of blackberry, black cherry and blueberry. This Marsala ages for more than 12 months in oak casks.
