Franciacorta (Lombardy) The wine shows a fine perlage, bubbles in good quantity and persistent. The color is a light straw yellow and nuances of greenish yellow. The nose reveals pleasing and typical aromas such as hawthorn, butter, yeast, lemon, litchi, hazelnut, toasted bread, pear and grapefruit. In mouth has a good correspondence to the nose, agreeable, immediate and balance. The finish is persistent with flavors of lemon, pear, yeast and litchi. This Franciacorta is produced with a base wine obtained by assembling different vintages aged in small oak casks. The wine stays on the lees for a minimum time of 21 months before being disgorged.
