Il Mosnel (Italy)
Franciacorta (Lombardy)
Chardonnay

Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
This Franciacorta shows an intense golden yellow color and nuances of straw
yellow, very transparent, good effervescence, fine and persistent perlage.
The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas which start
with hints of bread crust, praline and banana followed by aromas of yeast,
plum, cocoa butter, hawthorn, apple, grapefruit, hazelnut and vanilla. The
mouth has good correspondence to the nose, an effervescent and crisp
attack, however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors. The finish
is persistent with flavors of apple, banana and plum. Part of the
Chardonnay used for the cuvée ferments in barrique. This Franciacorta ages
in bottle on its lees for at least 36 months.
