This Chianti Classico shows a brilliant ruby red color and nuances of
garnet red, moderate transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean,
pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of plum, black cherry
and violet followed by aromas of blueberry, vanilla, chocolate, mace and
hints of menthol. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a
slightly tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense
flavors, agreeable. The finish is persistent with flavors of black cherry,
plum and blueberry. This Chianti Classico ages for about 10 months in cask. |

Un Chianti Classico come tanti se ne trovano. Intendiamoci, non ha difetti e tutto sommato è fatto pure bene, però gli manca quello slancio che gli dia la sua personalità.
Amarena e violetta i due registri su cui si gioca il naso di questo vino, legno non invadente che aggiunge note speziate e terziarie.
Anche la bocca è, tutto sommato, semplice senza "acuti" particolari, se non da segnalare una lieve rotondità, probabilmente segno del Merlot che sempre più si trova nei Chianti. Finale buono ma non eccelso.
