Falerno del Massico (Campania) Falerno del Massico Primitivo Campantuono shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of ruby red, little transparency. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing, refined and elegant aromas which start with hints of blackberry, black cherry and plum followed by aromas of violet, vanilla, tobacco, chocolate, cinnamon, pink pepper, leather and menthol. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, full body, intense flavors, pleasing roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of blackberry, plum and black cherry. Falerno del Massico Primitivo Campantuono ferments and ages in barrique for 13 months.

Alcohol: 15%

Il vino è buono, non c'è dubbio. Fatto bene, senza difetti, bello corposo e con una struttura possente. Senza difetti tanto da fare pensare "dov'è il trucco"?
È il classico vino piacione, rotondone e morbidone, forse un pò troppo morbidone tanto da pensare che non sia tutto primitivo ma frutto dell'unione di altre uve. Certamente il legno fa la sua parte nella rotondità di questo vino, però il sospetto del merlot ti accompagna per tutto il tempo.
A parte tutto è un vino che si beve volentieri con belli profumi anche complessi che si fondono alle sensazioni fruttate di mora. Potente in bocca e interessante anche la persistenza.
