Franciacorta (Lombardy) Franciacorta Extra Brut EBB shows a pale straw yellow color and nuances of greenish yellow, very transparent, fine and persistent perlage. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing, refined and elegant aromas that start with hints of banana, bread crust and apple followed by aromas of acacia, yeast, hawthorn, hazelnut, plum, praline, butter and hints of vanilla. The mouth as good correspondence to the nose, an effervescent and crisp attack, however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of banana, hazelnut and apple. The base wine ferments and ages in barrique for 5 months. Franciacorta Extra Brut EBB referments in bottle for at least 36 months.
