Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
Val d'Orcia Vin Santo shows a deep amber yellow color and nuances of amber
yellow, moderate transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing
and refined aromas which start with hints of raisin, dried fig and almond
followed by aromas of honey, prune, coffee, vanilla, citrus fruit peel and
nail polish. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a sweet attack
and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing
roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of raisin, dried fig and
almond. Val d'Orcia Vin Santo ages for at least 7 years in caratelli (small
barrels). |
