Menfi Merlot Azimut 2008
Menfi (Sicily)
Menfi Merlot Azimut shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of garnet
red, little transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and
refined aromas that start with hints of black currant, black cherry and
plum followed by aromas of violet, blueberry, vanilla, tobacco, chocolate,
mace and eucalyptus. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a
properly tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense
flavors, pleasing roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of black
currant, black cherry and plum. Menfi Merlot Azimut ages for 12 months in
cask followed by 12 months of aging in bottle. |
