Honoris Causa 2008
(Sicily)
Nero d'Avola (75%), Syrah (25%)
|
Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
Honoris Causa shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of garnet red,
little transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined
aromas that start with hints of blackberry, black currant and violet
followed by aromas of black cherry, blueberry, vanilla, tobacco, mace,
chocolate and eucalyptus. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a
properly tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense
flavors, pleasing roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of
blackberry, plum and black currant. Honoris Causa ages for 12 months in
barrique followed by at least 9 months of aging in bottle. |
