Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso shows an intense ruby red color and
nuances of garnet red, little transparency. The nose denotes intense,
clean, pleasing, refined and elegant aromas which start with hints of plum,
blackberry and dried violet followed by aromas of black cherry, blueberry,
carob, vanilla, tobacco and mace. The mouth has good correspondence to the
nose, a properly tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body,
intense flavors, pleasing roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors
of plum, blackberry and black cherry. Valpolicella Classico Superiore
Ripasso ages for 12 months in barrique followed by 6 months of aging in
bottle. |
