Mongrana 2011
(Tuscany)
Sangiovese (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%), Merlot (25%)
|
Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
Mongrana shows a brilliant ruby red color and nuances of ruby red, moderate
transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas
that start with hints of black cherry, plum and black currant followed by
aromas of violet, blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, vanilla, tobacco, mace
and chocolate. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a properly
tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors,
agreeable. The finish is persistent with flavors of black cherry, plum and
black currant. Mongrana ages in barrique and cement tanks. |
