Aurente 2004
(Umbria)
Chardonnay (90%), Grechetto (10%)
|
White Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧✭ |
Aurente shows an intense golden yellow color and nuances of golden yellow,
very transparent. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing and refined
aromas which start with hints of banana, toasted and hazelnut followed by
aromas of apple, plum, yeast, vanilla, pineapple, litchi, grapefruit,
mineral and praline. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a crisp
attack and pleasing roundness, however well balanced by alcohol, good body,
intense flavors, agreeable. The finish is persistent with flavors of
banana, plum and grapefruit. A well made wine. Aurente ages for 7 months in
barrique followed by 6 months of aging in bottle.
