Montalperti 2001
(Marches)
Chardonnay
|
White Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
This wine shows an intense straw yellow color and nuances of straw yellow,
very transparent. The nose reveals good personality with intense, clean,
pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of jasmine, apple and
plum followed by aromas of citrus fruits, banana, pineapple, hawthorn,
broom and vanilla. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a crisp
attack and pleasing roundness, however balanced by alcohol, good body,
intense flavors, agreeable. The finish is persistent with flavors of plum
and apple. Montalperti ferments and ages for 4-5 months in barrique
followed by at least 6 months of aging in bottle.
