Chianti Classico (Tuscany)
Sangiovese (90%), Colorino (5%), Merlot (5%)
|
Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✭ |
The wine shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of garnet red, little
transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas
which start with hints of black cherry, black currant and plum followed by
aromas of blackberry vanilla, violet, licorice and cocoa. The mouth has
good correspondence to the nose, a slightly tannic attack and good
roundness, however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, good
tannins. The finish is persistent with flavors of black cherry, black
currant and plum. This Chianti Classico ages for 12 months in cask.
