Score: ✧✧✧✭ |
The wine shows a brilliant golden yellow color and nuances of straw
yellow, very transparent, good effervescence, fine and persistent perlage.
The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas which start
with hints of banana and acacia followed by aromas of pineapple, bread
crust, hawthorn, yeast, pear and hazelnut. The mouth has good
correspondence to the nose an effervescent and crisp attack, however
balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors. The finish is persistent
with flavors of pineapple and pear. Part of the Chardonnay used for the
cuvée ferments in barrique. This Franciacorta ages in bottle on its lees
for at least 25 months.
