The wine shows a brilliant amber yellow color and nuances of amber yellow, transparent. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of grape and dried fig followed by aromas of honey, almond, dried apricot, peach jam, date, litchi, lavender, licorice and rosemary. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a sweet and smooth attack, however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors. The finish is persistent with flavors of grape, dried fig and date. This Malvasia delle Lipari ages for 5 months in barrique followed by at least 3 months of aging in bottle.
