Score: ✧✧✧✧✭ |
The wine shows an intense amber yellow color and nuances of amber yellow,
transparent. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing, refined and elegant
aromas that start with hints of raisin, dried fig and almond followed by
aromas of dried apricot, date, caramel, leather, coffee, candied fruits,
honey, nail polish and vanilla. The mouth has good correspondence to the
nose, a sweet attack and however balanced by alcohol, full body, intense
flavors, agreeable roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of
raisin, dried fig and almond. A well made wine. Vin Santo di Carmignano
ages for 6 years in small 50 liters barrels.
