Chaudelune Vin de Glace
(Vallée d'Aoste)
Prié Blanc
|
Sweet Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
The wine shows a light golden yellow color and nuances of straw yellow,
very transparent. The nose has clean, pleasing, intense and elegant aromas
of dried apricot, peach jam, almond, cooked apple, cooked pear, honey,
candied fruit, citrus fruit peel and vanilla as well as an aroma of
toasted wood. In mouth reveals good correspondence to the nose, a crisp
attack however well balanced, intense flavors and smoothness. The finish
is persistent with flavors of peach, honey and pear. Chaudelune is
produced with grapes harvested at temperatures below zero and is fermented
in barrique followed by a long aging in bottle. |
