Barolo Bussia 1999
Barolo (Piedmont)
The wine has a brilliant garnet red and nuances of brick/orange red,
moderate transparency. The nose reveals intense, clean, elegant and
pleasing aromas of black cherry jam, raspberry jam, blueberry jam, plum
jam and dried violet followed by good aromas of cocoa, leather, licorice,
dried rose and vanilla. In mouth denotes good correspondence to the nose,
a slightly alcoholic attack however well balanced by tannins, intense
flavors and good body. The finish is persistent with clean flavors of
plum, black cherry jam and raspberry jam. A well made wine. Barolo Bussia
ages in cask for 26-28 months.
