The wine shows a brilliant garnet red color and nuances of orange/brick red, moderate transparency. The nose has personality and intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas of black cherry jam, cherry jam, raspberry jam, blueberry and violet as well as good and intense aromas of cocoa, leather, licorice, tobacco and vanilla. In mouth reveals good correspondence to the nose, an alcoholic attack well balanced by tannins, intense flavors and full body. The finish is persistent with intense and clean flavors of cherry, raspberry and plum. A well made wine. Barolo Cicala is ages for 26-28 months in cask.
