Langhe (Piedmont) Langhe Nebbiolo Gepu shows a brilliant ruby red color and nuances of ruby red, moderate transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of cherry, plum and violet followed by aromas of raspberry, violet, rose, vanilla, chocolate, tobacco and menthol. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing crispness. The finish is persistent with flavors of cherry, plum and raspberry. Langhe Nebbiolo Gepu ages for 36 months in cask followed by 6 months of aging in bottle.

I vini di questa cantina mi piacciono veramente tanto! Ho già scritto qualche giorno fa sul loro Barbera e anche questa volta non posso fare a meno di lodare questo bel Nebbiolo.
Rispetto a tanti altri Nebbiolo, questo lo trovo molto "integro" e "onesto", si sente il passaggio in legno ma è usato con intelligenza e garbo, facendo comunque esaltare le belle doti del Nebbiolo.
Elegante e piacevolissimo per i suoi profumi di frutta e fiori (bellissima la rosa!) ai quali si legano sentori più terziari e speziati di vaniglia, cioccolato e tabacco. Piacevole anche l'accenno balsamico del mentolo.
Bella anche la bocca con la freschezza tipica del Nebbiolo unita alla potenza, ottimo il finale.
