This Salice Salentino Rosso Riserva shows a brilliant ruby red color and
nuances of ruby red, moderate transparency. The nose denotes intense,
clean, pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of black cherry,
plum and blackberry followed by aromas of violet, blueberry, vanilla,
cinnamon and carob. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a tannic
attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors,
agreeable. The finish is persistent with flavors of plum, black cherry and
blackberry. This Salice Salentino Rosso Riserva ages in barrique for 6
months. |

Convincente interpretazione di Salice Salentino nel quale si riconosce il corpo del Negroamaro ingentilito dalla Malvasia Nera, per un risultato piacevole anche se non magistrale. Interessante il profilo che si coglie al naso, su tutti amarena e prugna che fanno da contrappunto alla violetta e alla mora. Anche in questo caso ammirevole l'uso del legno, mai invadente. Buona persistenza e corrispondenza. Un vino che invita a bere ancora.
