(Tuscany) Ser Gioveto shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of garnet red, little transparency. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas that start with hints of plum, black cherry and black currant followed by aromas of dried violet, blueberry, vanilla, tobacco, leather, mace, chocolate and menthol. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of plum, black cherry and black currant. Ser Gioveto ages for 14 months in barrique followed by 9 months of aging in bottle.

Nota negativa del vino è il prezzo. 40 euri non sono pochi anche se il vino è comunque un ottimo prodotto che regala qualche bella emozione.
Procediamo con ordine. Il colore è sicuro e preciso, bello intenso e cupo che preannuncia estratti a profusione, piacevole da scrutare contro la luce. I profumi dal calice tradiscono però la presenza degli oramai onnipresenti Merlot e Cabernet sauvignon con le loro note che richiamano ancora il peperone. Frutti rossi e neri che chiamano quasi la confettura s'intrecciano con spezie fini e sentori speziati del legno.
La bocca è possente e piena, grande corpo e struttura con un deciso finale a ricordare i piccoli frutti neri. Un buon vino, forse un po' troppo costoso...
