Barbera d'Asti (Piedmont) Barbera d'Asti Superiore Caranti shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of ruby red, little transparency. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of cherry, plum and violet followed by aromas of blueberry, blackberry, vanilla, mace, geranium and pink pepper. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a slightly tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing crispness. The finish is persistent with flavors of cherry, plum and blueberry. Barbera d'Asti Superiore Caranti ages in cask for 13 months followed by at least 3 months of aging in bottle.

Alcohol: 14.5%

Ma che bella questa Barbera d'Asti! Ammetto la mia poca esperienza con la Barbera di questa zona ma ancora una volta, un grazie immenso a diwinetaste che con i suoi eventi consente a noi appassionati di avvicinarci a tanti vini accrescendo la nostra conoscenza e cultura, perché il vino è cultura!
Immediata, fresca, di grande carattere fruttato, questa Barbera è stata davvero sorprendente. Bellissima espressione di fiori e frutti che non stancano mai e poi in bocca una stupefacente acidità che pulisce e rende beverino questo bel vino.
Una Barbera che non ha deluso, forse la migliore della serata dedicata a Cascina Garitina e un ringraziamento al titolare della cantina per come ha spiegato i suoi vini.
