Barolo Serralunga 2006
Barolo (Piedmont)
Nebbiolo

Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧✭ |
Barolo Serralunga shows a brilliant ruby red color and nuances of brick
red, moderate transparency. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing,
refined and elegant aromas which start with hints of cherry, plum and
violet followed by aromas of raspberry, pomegranate, vanilla, chocolate,
cinnamon, mace and menthol. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose,
a tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, full body, intense
flavors, pleasing crispness. The finish is persistent with flavors of
cherry, plum and pomegranate. Barolo Serralunga ages for 32 months in cask
followed by 10 months of aging in bottle. |

We enjoyed this wine last night with friends while having barbecue. A gorgeous wine, full bodied with an amazing acidity and strong tannins, a very good pairing with our t-bones steaks.
Wonderful nose with amazing fruits and complex touches or chocolate, tar and herbs. Incredible and never ending finish. A must have for all wine lovers!
