Batàr shows a brilliant golden yellow color and nuances of golden yellow,
very transparent. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing, refined and
elegant aromas that start with hints of apple, banana and plum followed by
aromas of honey, vanilla, praline, hawthorn, pear, hazelnut, grapefruit and
graphite. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a crisp attack and
however balanced by alcohol, full body, intense flavors, pleasing
roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of banana, grapefruit and
hazelnut. Batàr ferments and ages in barrique for about 12 months. |

Senza tanti giri di parole: un vino monumentale, grande esempio di come un bianco possa evolvere nel tempo senza mostrare cenni di cedimento.
Il naso è un trionfo di profumi di frutta, ancora freschi e vivi, nonostante i suoi quattro anni di vita. E poi bellissime sensazioni minerali ed erbe aromatiche.
In bocca continua il racconto di frutta con una persistenza notevole. Grande vino e complimenti a Querciabella!

Un vino monumentale non c'è che dire, però a che prezzo! La qualità, come tutti sanno, ha un prezzo, anche elevato, fare vini di alto livello non è facile e chi ci riesce si fa pagare. Forse anche troppo? Ognuno trae le sue conclusioni.
Prezzo a parte (che comunque non è uno scherzo di questi tempi) questo vino è sorprendente dal primo all'ultimo sorso, da togliere il fiato per quant'è buono, trovargli un difetto non è impresa semplice.
Chardonnay e Pinot bianco passati in barrique, tutto in perfetto equilibrio, legno barriccoso compreso. Si sente che c'è la mano del legno, ma che mano e che legno! Tutto in armonico equilibrio. Un naso che convince in ogni suo aspetto, ancora bello fresco nonostante i tre anni che porta sulle spalle, e anche in bocca un misto di perfetta acidità sostenuta da suadente morbidezza. E la persistenza gusto olfattiva? Infinita, come pochi si possono permettere.
