Sangiovese (75%), Merlot (15%), Sagrantino (10%)

Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✭ |
This Rosso di Montefalco shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of
ruby red, little transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing
and refined aromas that start with hints of black cherry, plum and
blackberry followed by aromas of blueberry, violet, vanilla, black currant
and chocolate. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a properly
tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors,
pleasing roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of black cherry,
plum and blackberry. This Rosso di Montefalco ages for 12 months in
barrique followed by 6 months of aging in bottle. |

Vino diretto e lineare, forse con legno eccessivo che copre un po' il frutto.
Nel complesso è un buon vino di piacevole bevibilità.
