Vette di San Leonardo shows a brilliant greenish yellow color and nuances
of greenish yellow, very transparent. The nose reveals intense, clean,
pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of pear, pear and elder
flower followed by aromas of lychee, nettle, pineapple, banana, broom and
apple. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a crisp attack and
however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, agreeable. The
finish is persistent with flavors of pear, peach and lychee. Vette di San
Leonardo ages in steel tanks. |

Da una grande cantina come Tenuta San Leonardo si possono aspettare solo grandi vini. La qualità di questa cantina del Trentino è fuori da ogni discussione, qui siamo al top della produzione d'Italia, grandi rossi, grande qualità senza compromessi. Per me è stata una gradita sorpresa trovare questo bellissimo Sauvignon Blanc, io che ero convinto che San Leonardo producesse solamente vini rossi.
Mi è stato detto che si tratta di un vino nuovo e se il buongiorno si vede dal mattino, c'è solo da aspettarsi una bellissima giornata per le annate future.
Ma parliamo di quello che ho trovato nel calice versandoci questo vino. Naso freschissimo e di rara pulizia, sprigiona stupende sensazioni di Sauvignon Blanc che vanno dall'ortica alla frutta esotica, con bellissimi toni di fiori di sambuco. Ottima la freschezza anche in bocca, acidità davvero equilibrata, vino di grandissima piacevolezza. Finale da "manuale" con chiari ritorni di frutta esotica.
