Vin Santo del Chianti shows a pale amber yellow color and nuances of amber yellow, transparent. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of raisin, dried fig and almond followed by aromas of peach jam, walnut husk, honey, date, vanilla and citrus fruit peel. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a sweet and round attack, however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing crispness. The finish is persistent with flavors of raisin, dried fig and honey. Vin Santo del Chianti ages for about 6 years in "caratelli" barrels.
