Princeps 2004
(Umbria)
Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Sangiovese (20%), Merlot (20%)
|
Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧✭ |
Princeps shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of garnet red, little
transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing, refined and
elegant aromas which start with hints of black cherry, black currant and
plum followed by aromas of dried violet, blueberry, vanilla, tobacco,
chocolate, mace and eucalyptus. The mouth has good correspondence to the
nose, a properly tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body,
intense flavors, agreeable. The finish is persistent with flavors of black
cherry, black currant and plum. Princeps ages in barrique for 24 months. |
