Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
Gavi Pilin shows a pale straw yellow color and nuances of straw yellow,
very transparent. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing and refined
aromas which start with hints of quince, ripe peach and pear followed by
aromas of citrus fruits, ripe banana, hawthorn, broom, plum, vanilla and
mineral. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a crisp attack and
however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing
roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of quince, ripe peach and
ripe banana. Gavi Pilin is produced with slightly dried grapes, ages for 12
months in barrique followed by 2 years of aging in bottle. |
