Barbera d'Alba Superiore 2011
Barbera d'Alba (Piedmont)
This Barbera d'Alba Superiore shows an intense ruby red color and nuances
of ruby red, little transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean,
pleasing and refined aromas that start with hints of cherry, plum and
blueberry followed by aromas of violet, blackberry, vanilla and chocolate.
The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a properly tannic attack and
however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing
crispness. The finish is persistent with flavors of cherry, blueberry and
plum. This Barbera d'Alba Superiore ages for 6 months in cask followed by
6 months of aging in bottle. |
