Il Rosso 2009
(Umbria)
Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Syrah
|
Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
Il Rosso shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of ruby red, little
transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas
which start with hints of black cherry, plum and blueberry followed by
aromas of violet, vanilla, chocolate, tobacco, mace and menthol. The mouth
has good correspondence to the nose, a properly tannic attack and however
balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, agreeable. The finish is
persistent with flavors of black cherry, plum and blueberry. A part of this
wine ages for 12 months in barrique. |
