San Pio 2010
(Tuscany)
Cabernet Sauvignon (80%), Sangiovese (20%)
|
Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
San Pio shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of garnet red, little
transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas
that start with hints of black cherry, black currant and violet followed by
aromas of blueberry, plum, vanilla, chocolate, tobacco, pink pepper and
eucalyptus. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a properly
tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors,
agreeable. The finish is persistent with flavors of black cherry, black
currant and plum. San Pio ages for 18 months in cask followed by 6 months
of aging in bottle. |
