Score: ✧✧✧✧✭ |
The wine shows a beautiful and intense ruby red color and nuances of ruby
red, little transparency. The nose reveals good personality with intense,
clean, pleasing, refined and elegant aromas that start with hints of black
cherry and violet followed by good and intense aromas of blueberry, plum,
licorice, menthol, thyme and pleasing aromas of toasted wood and vanilla.
In the mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a slightly tannic attack
and however well balanced by alcohol, full body, intense flavors, good
tannins. The finish is persistent with good and intense flavors of black
cherry and plum. A well made wine. This Roero ages in cask for at least 24
months followed by one year of aging in bottle.
