Brunello di Montalcino 1999
Brunello di Montalcino (Tuscany)
Sangiovese Grosso
|
Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧✭ |
The wine shows a deep ruby red color and nuances of garnet red, little
transparency. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing, refined and
elegant aromas which start with good hints of black cherry and plum
followed by aromas of blackberry, blueberry, licorice, tobacco, cinnamon,
vanilla and hints of eucalyptus. In the mouth has good correspondence to
the nose, a tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, full body,
intense flavors, robust tannins. The finish is persistent with flavors of
black cherry, plum and blueberry. A well made wine that will give its best
with some years of aging in bottle. This Brunello ages for 24 months in
cask.
