This wine shows an intense straw yellow color and nuances of greenish
yellow, very transparent. The nose reveals good personality with intense,
clean, pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of plum and apple
followed by aromas of banana, broom, pear, hazelnut, jasmine, hawthorn,
honey, vanilla and hints of almond. In the mouth has good correspondence to
the nose, a crisp attack and pleasing roundness, however balanced, good
body, intense flavors, agreeable. The finish is persistent with flavors of
apple, pear and hazelnut. A well made wine. Il Marzocco ages for 6 months
in barrique and in bottle for 6 months.
