Cervaro della Sala 2002
(Umbria)
Chardonnay (80%), Grechetto (20%)

White Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧✧ |
This wine shows a brilliant golden yellow color and nuances of golden
yellow, very transparent. The nose reveals personality with intense, clean,
pleasing, refined and elegant aromas which start with hints of quince,
banana, hawthorn and toasted wood followed by aromas of acacia, pineapple,
honey, mineral, hazelnut, pear, grapefruit and coffee. In the mouth has
very good correspondence to the nose, a crisp attack and however well
balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, agreeable. The finish is
very persistent with long flavors of quince, banana, pineapple and
grapefruit. A very well made white wine. Cervaro della Sala ferments and
ages in barrique for 5 months followed by 10 months of aging in bottle.
