Review of Grappa, Distillates and Brandy

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Balciana 2017, Sartarelli (Marches, Italy)
Brandy de Jerez Lepanto Solera Gran Reserva
Gonzalez Byass (Andalusia, Spain)
Distilled wine made from Palomino grape
Price: € 29.00 - 700ml Score: Wine that excels in its category

Brilliant mahogany, limpid and crystalline.
Intense, clean, pleasing, refined and elegant with aromas of raisin, dried fig, prune, vanilla, tobacco, citrus fruit peel, candied fruits, almond, caramel and cocoa with almost imperceptible alcohol pungency.
Intense flavors with a slight pungency of alcohol which however tends to dissolve rapidly, pleasing roundness, balanced sweetness.
Persistent finish with flavors of raisin, dried fig, prune and caramel.
Distilled with the Charentais method, aged for 15 years with the "Soleras y Criaderas" method, of which the last 3 in casks used for the aging of Jerez wines Tio Pepe, Noé and Pedro Ximénez.
