Colli Tortonesi Barbera Superiore Rodeo 2000
Colli Tortonesi (Piedmont)
This Barbera shows a brilliant ruby red color and nuances of garnet red,
little transparency. The nose reveals good personality with intense, clean,
pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of plum, pomegranate and
blackberry followed by aromas of vanilla, violet, cyclamen, blueberry,
black cherry, licorice, tobacco, cocoa and eucalyptus. In the mouth has
good correspondence to the nose, a slightly tannic attack and pleasing
crispness, however well balanced by alcohol, full body, intense flavors,
good tannins. The finish is persistent with flavors of pomegranate, black
cherry, plum and blackberry. A well made wine. This Barbera ages for 12-14
months in cask.
