Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
This sweet wine shows a light amber yellow color and nuances of golden
yellow, very transparent. The nose reveals clean, pleasing, refined and
elegant aromas of dried apricot, candied fruit, caramel, peach jam, dried
fig, almond, honey and citrus fruit peel followed by a pleasing hint of
vanilla. In the mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a round and
sweet attack which is continuously perceivable, intense flavors. The
finish is persistent with flavors of caramel, apricot and peach jam. Vigna
del Volta is produced with grapes allowed to dry for two weeks and ages
for 10 months in barrique.
