Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧✭ |
Offida Rosso Il Grifone shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of
garnet red, little transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing,
refined and elegant aromas that start with hints of black cherry, plum and
black currant followed by aromas of blueberry, dried violet, vanilla,
chocolate, tobacco, mace, leather and eucalyptus. The mouth has good
correspondence to the nose, a slightly tannic attack and however balanced
by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing roundness. The finish is
persistent with flavors of black cherry, plum and black currant. Offida
Rosso Il Grifone ages for 22 months in cask followed by 6 months of aging
in bottle. |
