Rosso Smeraldo 2009
(Sardinia)
Carignano, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Bovale
|
Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✭ |
Rosso Smeraldo shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of garnet red,
little transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined
aromas which start with hints of plum, dried violet and black cherry
followed by aromas of blackberry, blueberry, carob and rosemary. The mouth
has good correspondence to the nose, a properly tannic attack and however
balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing roundness. The
finish is persistent with flavors of plum, black cherry and blackberry.
Rosso Smeraldo ages in steel tanks. |
