Sangiovese (90%), Merlot (10%)
|
Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
This Chianti Classico Riserva shows a brilliant ruby red color and nuances
of garnet red, moderate transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean,
pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of black cherry, plum
and violet followed by aromas of blueberry, raspberry, blackberry,
tobacco, vanilla, chocolate and menthol. The mouth has good correspondence
to the nose, a properly tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good
body, intense flavors, pleasing crispness. The finish is persistent with
flavors of black cherry, plum and raspberry. This Chianti Classico Riserva
ages for 24 months in barrique followed by 6 months of aging in bottle. |
