(Umbria) Calicanto shows a pale straw yellow color and nuances of greenish yellow, very transparent. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas that start with hints of apple, peach and hawthorn followed by aromas of broom, citrus fruits, pineapple, pear, hazelnut and plum. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a crisp attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, agreeable. The finish is persistent with flavors of apple, peach and pineapple. Calicanto ages for 6 months in steel tanks.

The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of blackberry, plum and black currant followed by aromas of dried violet, blueberry, vanilla, tobacco, chocolate, mace and eucalyptus. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a properly tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of plum, blackberry and black currant. Col Cimino ages for 12 months in cask followed by 18 months of aging in bottle.
