Barbera d'Alba (Piedmont) Barbera d'Alba shows a brilliant ruby red color and nuances of ruby red, little transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas that start with hints of cherry, plum and violet followed by aromas of blueberry, blackberry, raspberry and hints of vanilla. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a properly tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing crispness. The finish is persistent with flavors of cherry, plum and blueberry. This Barbera d'Alba ages for 12 months in barrique, 6 months in steel tanks and 6 months in bottle.
