Barbera d'Alba 2011
Barbera d'Alba (Piedmont)
Barbera d'Alba shows a brilliant ruby red color and nuances of ruby red,
little transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined
aromas that start with hints of cherry, plum and violet followed by aromas
of blueberry, blackberry, raspberry and hints of vanilla. The mouth has
good correspondence to the nose, a properly tannic attack and however
balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing crispness. The
finish is persistent with flavors of cherry, plum and blueberry. This
Barbera d'Alba ages for 12 months in barrique, 6 months in steel tanks and
6 months in bottle. |
