An evening in company of Erik Banti and his wines, one of the most representative figures of the recent history of Morellino di Scansano who, in 1981, significantly contributed to the success of this wine. A success still alive after more than 20 years and fully confirmed by his wines and his way of seeing wine and its production. The evening began with Morellino di Scansano 2006, exclusively aged in steel tanks, which allowed the understanding of Erik Banti's wine quality and the particular characteristics of Scansano's territory. The event proceeded with the excellent Morellino di Scansano Riserva Ciabatta 2005, one of the most representative wines of this prestigious Tuscan winery, aged in steel tanks, barrique and casks. In a crescendo of emotions and sensations, in the glass was then poured the excellent Poggio Maestrino Annosettimo 2005 - produced with Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, aged in barrique - one of the best Erik Banti's wines and which in vintage 2005, just like Riserva Ciabatta, promises an interesting development and evolution. The end of the event was dedicated to Le Spiaggiole 2004, the renowned blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The event was conducted, as usual, by Antonello Biancalana who illustrated to the participants the organoleptic qualities of Erik Banti's wines, presented in enogastronomical matching with dishes expressly created for the occasion.
